About Our Live Auctioneers Auctions;
These sales are launched up to two weeks in advance before the live online auction begins. If this is your first time bidding through Live Auctioneers at Auction, you will need to create an account first. It’s free and easy.
When you view our page on Live Auctioneers when we have an auction running, you may see something like this below:
If you wish to bid on any of the items just Click the “the register for auction” link and you will be prompted to enter your email to register, or if logged in already to live auctioneers, your account will be submitted to us for approval to bid. Before the live auction begins and you have been approved for bidding, you have the option to watch an item and/or leave your bid.
Be Sure to Save your Favorite items!
If your phone number is inputted into your contact information on Live Auctioneers and you have notifications enabled through the live auctioneers application, you will receive a text message when the lots you are interested in are 10 lots away.
It will look something like this:

At this time you’ll want to get online and join the auction simply by clicking the “enter live auction button” on the page of the item your interested in, then simply just wait till you see your lot.

Auctions go in number order from the first lot, usually lot #1, and so on. When your lot comes up, be prepared to click the bid button.
As the auction goes on you will notice the verbiage on the bidding screen that The auction manager will add such as “fair warning”, or “lot is closing soon”, or “bid quickly”. This lingo is prompting you to add your final bids and to signal that the lot is going to close and bidding will end for that item. Until this time,The auctioneer will accept your competitive bids along with all others until the final hammer price is reached and the auctioneer announces, “sold.” (Basically when there are no more bids coming in).
It’s really fun and quite enjoyable to spend an evening relaxing at home!.

How Auction Ninja Auctions Work
just like on live auctioneers, you will want to create an account on auction ninja and subscribe to our auctions. Our landing page looks like this:
Generally, we post auctions on Auction Ninja weekly and biweekly, which means every month you have between two and four chances to win something fun! When we post an auction and there’s something in that auction you would like to bid on, simply click the little button that looks like a clock you will find on the individual item page (see example below).

Enter in your phone number and click accept, and it will send you a text message when your item is closing in 10 minutes. The best thing to do with Auction Ninja is to place your bid early on. If you were to become outbid by another bidder, you will be notified via text message or email.
The text message will be addressed to you personally, and will look something like this example;

How bidding Works on Auction Ninja:
Auction Ninja is Slightly different than Live Auctioneers. It is a timed auction. This means when the lots are closing there is no involvement from the auctioneer in the lots closing and final bids. It is all computerized extended bidding.
What is extended bidding?
The AuctionNinja platform features extended bidding (a.k.a. "soft closing"). The AuctionNinja system will automatically extend the closing time of a lot (auction item) whenever a bid is placed within the last five minutes of its scheduled closing. This may occur multiple times on any given lot depending on the bidder interest in that lot. Once all interest and bidding in a lot ceases the clock will run out and the lot will close.
This is the fairest way to prevent “bid sniping” (someone submitting a high bid in the last seconds of any given lot’s closing in order to win said lot) and to give all bidders an opportunity to increase their bids if they wish. It is also the closest way to mimic a live, in-person auction, when the auctioneer gives bidders opportunities to increase their bids if someone jumps into the bidding at the last moment before hammering the winning bid.
Sometimes I'm immediately outbid. Why?
Because all maximum bids are "masked" (hidden from other bidders), you do not know what any other bidder's maximum bid may be or when they placed it. Sometimes you will be outbid as soon as you enter your bid. This only occurs when another bidder had a higher maximum bid than yours already "on the board". Your bid set in motion the automatic bidding system which raised the other buyer's bid above yours. The other bidder may have placed their max bid days, hours, or mere moments before you placed yours.
However, if you place a bid and there are no competing bids against your bid, the system WILL NOT immediately go to your maximum bid. In fact, if you are the only bidder by the time the lot closes, you will win the lot for the lowest possible dollar amount (based on whatever the opening bid was for that item), not your max bid. So if you place a max bid of $25 on a lot with an opening bid of $1 and there are no other bidders vying for that lot, you will win it for $1. NOTE: This only happens when there are no competing bids.
Auction Lingo..
You can place absentee bids in advance of the live auction. Our hassle-free absentee bidding system ensures You get the best prices
. Be sure to submit your maximum bid amount before the live auction begins. Your bid stays at the lowest minimum amount required to keep you in the lead, and increases (up to your max amount) only if another bidder places a competing bid.
Your chances of winning are three times greater when you bid during the live auction. Live auctions begin at the time indicated on catalog and item pages. To bid live, simply visit the catalog or item at the indicated auction time, and click ‘Enter Live Auction’. You will be taken to the bidding console where the live auction is taking place.
Hammer Price:
The hammer price is the winning bid for a lot at auction. It is the price upon which the auctioneer's hammer falls, determining the sale price, but does not include the buyer's premium
Buyers Premium:
The buyer’s premium is an additional percentage charge that the winning bidder is required to pay. Buyer’s premiums vary from auction to auction, typically ranging from 18% to 30%. Buyer’s premiums can be found on catalog and item pages.
Auction Lot:
- Identification: Each lot is assigned a number in the catalog for easy identification called a “Lot Number”.
